To alleviate the body, mind and emotional discomfort, the Homecoming Center focuses on the methods listed below. They go from total relaxation to full release of trapped emotional energy.
The pulsing is a movement-based, passive method, which includes stretching, jiggling, lifting, shaking, and rotating to create waves throughout the body, impacting the organs, joints, muscles and fluids. The pattern of regularity of the motions create a sense of flow and ease. All dis-ease is allowed to surface without force or breaking down of resistance. After only a few moments the person under treatment sinks in a deep, soothing relaxation.
Applied kinesiology (AK) which is also know as muscle strength testing, is a method of diagnosis and treatment based on the belief that various muscles are linked to particular organs and glands, and that specific muscle weakness can signal distant internal problems such as nerve damage, reduced blood supply, chemical imbalances or other organ or gland problems. By correcting this muscle weakness, you can help heal a problem in the associated internal organ.
Meridian therapy applies the principle of Acupuncture without the use of a penetrating needle. There is no difference between meridian therapy and acupuncture outside of the mode of stimulation. The principle remains the same. Meridian Therapies work in a variety of ways to release blockages and restore balance in mind and body. Restored energy flow benefits physical and mental health in many ways, including detoxing the body.
Biomagnetism is a revolutionary approach to wellness that differs from traditional medicine, homeopathy, herbs and natural therapies. It is an internationally practiced health approach that strives to attain bio-energetic balance in the human body; the state of natural health known as “homeostasis”. It involves the precise and proper (North/South polarity) placement of special high field strength magnets over very specific areas of the body, to support regulation of pH in these very areas. By maintaining adequate pH, homeostasis may be reestablished so that the body can heal itself. This therapy stimulates normal immune system function, increased circulation and oxygenation, normalizing response to inflammation and many more positive effects on our bodies. It is believed that pH imbalances may ultimately accumulate and combine to allow the development of symptoms, syndromes and other health conditions in our bodies.
The Emotional Freedom Technique, or simply EFT, is a method that was developed by Gary Craig with the desire to help clients let go of negative thoughts, memories, and emotions. This technique involves stimulating specific pressure points on the body while recalling painful memories or upsetting thoughts.
ORIGINAL PAIN WORK
The shadow is a term coined by psychologist Carl Jung, and it refers to our deepest wounds. The wounds that have us believing we're flawed, unlovable, undeserving people. These wounds are often created in childhood, but can sometimes develop later in life. Perhaps you were bullied or experienced a traumatic life event that created a wound. Other times, these wounds are cultural. They develop from prevailing social beliefs, such as the way money is tied to self-worth.
Jung’s proposed solution to this schism is for the individual to undergo “shadow work.” What we repress never stays repressed, it lives on in the unconscious—and, despite what our egos would have us believe, the unconscious mind is the one really running the show. Shadow work, then, is the process of making the unconscious conscious. In doing so, we gain awareness of our unconscious impulses and can then choose whether and how to act on them. We begin this process when we take a step back from our normal patterns of behavior and observe what is happening within us. Meditation is a great way to develop this ability to step back from ourselves, with the goal being to gain the ability to do this as we go about our daily lives.
When you keep repeating negative things about yourself that you are no good, then this message gets passed to your subconscious. Now subconscious manifests whatever it receives. As a result, you will keep running into situations which will shake your belief in your abilities. It is here that practicing positive affirmations for self esteem will come to your rescue.
Affirmations are simple messages. Repeated over-and-over, they begin to worm their way into your mind. Slowly changing both your thinking and your reality. Positive affirmations release you from anxiety, negativity, guilt, fear and pain. The affirmations, when practiced with full faith and conviction, will instil a new belief in yourself. You will realize that you are doing the best you can and that the universe is in a conspiracy to make you succeed.
Intuitive Nutrition is an evidenced-based, mind-body health approach. Essentially, Intuitive Eating is a personal process of honoring health by listening and responding to the direct messages of the body in order to meet your physical and psychological needs. It is not a diet or food plan, rather it is a journey of self-discovery and connection to the needs of your mind and body. There is nothing to count: this includes no counting of calories, carbs, points, or macros. Intuitive Eating is an empowerment tool. It’s time to unleash it and liberate yourself from the prison of diet culture and weight obsession.
